Hotel Majestic opened in 1925, built by the Chinese-Vietnamese businessman Hui Bon Hoa in French colonial and Riviera style, and was extended to its current six storeys in 1965. It stands at No. 1 Dong Khoi (the former Rue Catinat) at the point where the street meets the Saigon River, overlooking Bach Dang wharf, with the Opera House, Nguyen Hue walking street and Ben Thanh Market all within walking distance. Renamed Cuu Long after 1975, it later regained its original name and is run by Saigontourist Group.
The 175 rooms and suites keep a classical colonial look with wood furnishings and full marble bathrooms; categories run from Century Deluxe and city/pool/river-view Deluxe rooms with balconies to 60 m² Century Suites and the Presidential Suite. Dining includes Saigon House restaurant, the Catinat Lounge, Breeze Sky Bar Café and the rooftop M Bar with river views. Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne sits on Huynh Thuc Khang Street on the beach strip between Ham Tien and Mui Ne, outside Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan province, roughly a 3–4-hour drive east of Ho Chi Minh City. It marked Thai group Centara's return to Vietnam and is its second Mirage-branded resort, built around an 'Explorer's Playground' theme inspired by Spanish maritime voyages. The red and white sand dunes of Mui Ne are a short excursion away.
With 984 rooms, suites and pool villas laid out through flower gardens and along a gentle hillside to the sea, it is one of the biggest resorts in Vietnam, and rooms are best suited to families and groups.
