After breakfast, begin your exploration of Shanghai, China’s largest and most cosmopolitan city. Day 3 – Shanghai to Shiyan (Automobile City)
Today you will depart Shanghai and fly to Shiyan, known as the “Automobile City,” an industrial hub set against the scenic backdrop of the Wudang Mountains. Upon arrival, take in the refreshing atmosphere along the Han River and enjoy views of the expansive Danjiangkou Reservoir.
Please note that no tour guide will accompany guests on the flight.

Day 4 – Wudang Mountain Scenic Exploration
Today, we explore the breathtaking landscapes and spiritual heritage of Wudang Mountain in depth. Begin with a scenic cable car ascent to the summit, where you can admire sweeping views of the sea of clouds and the legendary Taoist temples of the Golden Summit, known as “The First Immortal Mountain Under Heaven.”
Continue your journey through key cultural sites, including Taizipo and the sacred Purple Cloud Palace (Zixiao Palace), where centuries-old Taoist traditions and architecture create a serene and powerful atmosphere. Depending on the schedule, you may also visit Nanyan Palace.
In the evening, check in to the Narada Hotel Wudang Mountain and relax surrounded by natural beauty, reflecting on a day that blends culture, nature, and spiritual heritage.

Day 5 – Wudang Culture, Taiji Lake & Fly to Chengdu
In the morning, visit Yuzhen Palace, a historic temple dedicated to Zhang Sanfeng, the legendary founder of Wudang martial arts. Here, you will explore its ancient architecture and cultural relics while gaining insight into the deep connection between Taoist philosophy and martial arts tradition. Enjoy a guided Tai Chi wellness session with a master, introducing the principles of balance, harmony, and inner strength.
In the afternoon, continue to Taiji Lake Ecological Pier for a scenic cruise across the Danjiangkou Reservoir, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks and the Golden Summit in the distance. Afterwards, visit Yuxu Palace, one of Wudang Mountain’s most important Taoist complexes, known for its historical significance and elegant Ming Dynasty architecture.
In the evening, transfer to Wudang Mountain Airport for your included flight to Chengdu (WDS 21:00 → TFU 22:45). No tour guide will accompany guests on the flight.

Day 6 – Chengdu to Huanglong / Seasonal Route
After breakfast, depart Chengdu by high-speed rail to begin your journey to the spectacular Huanglong Scenic Area. Upon arrival, take a cable car up the mountain and continue by sightseeing electric vehicle to the famous Five-Color Ponds. Along the way, admire the breathtaking “Seven Wonders” of Huanglong, including crystal-clear travertine pools, alpine scenery, and unique geological formations.
Explore key sites such as Huanglong Cave, Yuwang Temple, and Huanglong Ancient Temple before descending the mountain by cable car. Transfer to your hotel for dinner and rest. In the evening, enjoy a hotel dinner or a Sichuan specialty banquet featuring local delicacies such as crispy-skin duck glazed with maltose.

Day 7 – Jiuzhaigou National Park / Emei Mountain (Seasonal Route)
Today, explore the breathtaking Jiuzhaigou National Park, often called “China’s Most Beautiful Place.” Travel by eco-friendly sightseeing bus through the scenic valley’s famous “Y-shaped” route, discovering its crystal-clear lakes, waterfalls, and alpine forests.
Visit highlights such as Long Lake, the largest and deepest lake in Jiuzhaigou; Five Flower Lake, known for its vivid, multi-colored waters; Mirror Lake, where still waters reflect surrounding mountains like a painting; and Shuzheng Waterfall, a powerful cascade stretching over 100 meters wide.
At the end of the day, enjoy a traditional Tibetan-style dinner before taking the high-speed train back to Chengdu.
Seasonal Itinerary (October):
Instead of Jiuzhaigou, ascend Mount Emei to the Golden Summit (Jinding), a sacred Buddhist site and UNESCO World Heritage destination. Visit the iconic golden statue of Samantabhadra and enjoy panoramic mountain views above the clouds.

Day 8 – Dujiangyan & Du Fu Thatched Cottage

Begin with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a 2,000-year-old water conservancy project that continues to sustain the Chengdu Plain. The visit includes a scenic golf cart ride through the site.
Continue to the Du Fu Thatched Cottage, the former residence of the celebrated Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu, set within peaceful classical gardens that reflect China’s literary and cultural legacy.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Yuanyang hotpot dinner, a signature Sichuan culinary experience, accompanied by a spectacular Sichuan Opera face-changing performance, showcasing one of the region’s most famous performing arts.

NARADA Wudangshan is a newly built resort hotel (opened 2021) from the Chinese Narada Hotels & Resorts group, set on the eastern shore of Taiji Lake in the Wudang Mountain Tourism Special Economic Zone. It is the natural base for exploring the Taoist temples, palaces and cliff-side monasteries of Wudang Mountain, the birthplace of Wudang kung fu and tai chi.
Rooms are contemporary, quiet and spacious, many looking out over the lake or towards the mountain. The restaurant serves a rich Chinese and Western breakfast buffet, with regional Hubei dishes at dinner.
Guests have a spa and a fitness centre on site, and the lakeside promenade is ideal for an evening walk after a day on the mountain trails.
The hotel is about 10 km from Wudangshan West high-speed railway station and 24 km from Shiyan Wudangshan Airport; airport pick-up can be arranged on request and parking is available on site.
