Day 1 | Arrival in Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China and one of the country’s four ancient capitals. With over 3,000 years of history, Beijing is home to some of the world’s most iconic cultural landmarks, including the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall, and Summer Palace.

Day 2 | Beijing
Today we explore the cultural heart of Beijing, where imperial history and royal architecture come to life.
Start at Tiananmen Square, the symbolic center of modern China and the historic gateway to the Imperial City during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Continue to the Palace Museum (Forbidden City), one of the world’s largest and best-preserved wooden palace complexes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, a magnificent Qing Dynasty royal garden and UNESCO-listed masterpiece of classical Chinese landscaping, featuring lakes, pavilions, and scenic corridors.

Beijing → Tiananmen Square (30 mins) → Palace Museum (3 hrs) → Summer Palace (1.5 hrs, including boat ride; boat unavailable in winter, ¥20 refund if canceled)

Day 3 | Beijing
Today we visit one of the most iconic sections of the Great Wall of China, followed by modern Olympic landmarks in Beijing.
Explore the Mutianyu Great Wall, widely regarded as one of the best-preserved and most scenic sections of the Great Wall. With its watchtowers and mountain views, it reflects the grandeur of ancient Chinese civilization and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the afternoon, visit Beijing Olympic Park, home to the famous venues of the 2008 Olympic Games, including the Bird’s Nest (National Stadium) and Water Cube (National Aquatics Center), both recognized as modern architectural landmarks.

Day 4 | Beijing → Xi’an
This morning, visit the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China’s most important imperial ceremonial complexes. It was where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvests and performed sacred rituals. The site is known for its symbolic layout and iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, representing ancient Chinese cosmology of “Heaven is round, Earth is square.”
After lunch, take a high-speed train to Xi’an, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties and a key starting point of the Silk Road.

Beijing → Temple of Heaven (1 hr) → High-speed train to Xi’an (guide not accompanying on train)

Day 5 | Xi’an
Today, explore the highlights of Xi’an, one of China’s most important ancient capitals and a key stop along the Silk Road.
Begin with the Terracotta Army Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Continue to Huaqing Palace, a historic imperial hot spring resort known for its Tang Dynasty legends and romantic history.
In the afternoon, explore Xi’an’s city landmarks including the Bell & Drum Tower Square, the lively Muslim Quarter, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda at Ci’en Temple, an iconic symbol of Tang Dynasty Buddhism. End the day with free time at the vibrant Great Tang All Day Mall, a cultural pedestrian street showcasing Tang Dynasty heritage.

Xi’an → Terracotta Army Museum (3 hrs) → Huaqing Palace (1 hr) → Muslim Quarter (1 hr) → Bell & Drum Tower Square (30 mins) → Big Wild Goose Pagoda (1 hr, tower ascent not included) → Free time at Great Tang All Day Mall

Day 6 | Xi’an → Shanghai
This morning, visit the Xi’an City Wall, entering through Yongningmen (South Gate). As the oldest and best-preserved city wall in the world, it reflects ancient defensive architecture and the historic grandeur of Chang’an, showcasing Xi’an’s cultural depth and historical significance.
After lunch, take a flight to Shanghai, China’s most modern and dynamic metropolis.

Xi’an → Yongningmen & Xi’an City Wall (1 hr) → Flight to Shanghai (guide not accompanying on flight)

Day 7 | Shanghai
Today, explore Shanghai, China’s most vibrant and modern metropolis, where traditional culture meets global city life.
Begin at Yu Garden, a classic Jiangnan-style garden known for its elegant design, rockeries, and traditional pavilions. Continue to the nearby Chenghuang Temple area, a historic cultural district filled with local atmosphere and heritage architecture.
After lunch, visit the Shanghai Museum, renowned for its extensive collections of ancient Chinese art, including bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, and paintings. Then stroll through the Former French Concession, known for its tree-lined streets and European-style architecture.
End the day at the famous Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and The Bund, where historic buildings meet the modern skyline of Shanghai across the Huangpu River.

Today marks the end of your journey through East China. We provide transfer services to either Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) or Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) according to your flight schedule.
Please arrange your departure flight based on your preferred airport and timing.
A complimentary hotel departure transfer is available at 07:00 AM only. For flights departing earlier than 07:00 AM, guests are kindly requested to arrange their own transportation to the airport.

We then confirm availability, usually within 24 hours, and update your booking status — if we cannot confirm your reservation, your deposit is refunded in full. The balance is due 30 days before departure. The deposit option applies to bookings made more than 60 days before departure — within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at booking.
