La Candelaria

La Candelaria is home to some of the most popular museums and attractions in Bogotá. The neighborhood is an eclectic juxtaposition between old and new, historic and modern. The beautiful buildings are typical of Spanish colonial architecture, while the streets boast some of the most unique graffiti murals you’ll ever see.

Museo Botero

The Botero Museum also known as Museo Botero is a museum located in Bogotá, Colombia. It houses one of Latin America's most important international art collections.

Museo del Oro

Bogotá's most famous museum and one of the most fascinating in South America, the Gold Museum contains more than 55,000 pieces of gold and other materials from all of Colombia's major pre-Hispanic cultures. The collection is laid out in logical, thematic rooms over three floors; descriptions are in Spanish and English.

Finally, at the Comuna 13 district with its unique escalators you observe another innovative project that improved the quality of life of the people of Medellín.

El Pueblito Paisa

Pueblito Paisa is a replica of a turn-of-the-century town located in the hills of Medellín and offers people a chance to experience the true traditional Antioquian culture. The Pueblito consists of a town square with a fountain at its center, colorfully painted buildings, a beautiful white church, and green gardens completed with surrounding walking tracks and an outdoor gym. Here, you’ll find cobblestone streets, colorful buildings and amazing views of the city. Additionally, the famous Museum of the City (Museo de Ciudad) is located here and is definitely worth visiting.

Plaza Botero

Sometimes known as Plaza de las Esculturas, Plaza Botero is a key fixture on most Medellín city tours—whether you want to explore on foot, by Segway, or from the top deck of a hop-on hop-off bus, there’s a tour option to suit most.

Comuna13

Comuna13 used to be one of the most dangerous areas in Medellin but community projects and a series of outdoor escalators have helped turn this poor district into one of the most colorful communes in the city. Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas

Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas is a fortification of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. It is located on a hill called San Lazaro and was built in 1657 during the Spanish colonial period. In 1984, UNESCO listed this location as a historical center of Cartagena Indian City and Saint Philippe de Barajas Castle on the World Heritage list. It is considered to even be one of the seven wonders of Colombia and one of the largest buildings built on the Colombian territory.

Plaza de San Pedro Claver

Founded by Jesuits in the first half of the 17th century as Convento San Ignacio de Loyola, this convent later changed its name to honor Spanish-born monk Pedro Claver (1580–1654), who lived and died here. Called the 'Apostle of the Blacks' or the 'Slave of the Slaves,' the monk spent his life ministering to enslaved people brought from Africa. A series of lucid paintings inside the building relates his life story. The convent is a monumental three-story building surrounding a tree-filled courtyard, and much of it is open as a museum.
