The hotel occupies the upper floors of the Sumitomo Fudosan Mita First Building in Shibaura, the office district between Tamachi Station and Tokyo Bay; JR Tamachi (Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines) is a 6-minute walk via the Shibaura exit and Mita Station on the Toei Asakusa and Mita lines 8 minutes, giving direct trains to Haneda Airport, Asakusa and Shinagawa. Opened in October 2006 and refurbished in August 2022, it has 173 non-smoking rooms of at least 19 m2, every one on the 14th floor or above with views over the bay area or towards Roppongi; rooms have wide beds, humidifier-purifiers and free Wi-Fi.
Breakfast is a Western-style buffet with salad bar and fresh bread (JPY 2,500, from 06:00), and a complimentary happy hour with drinks and snacks runs daily from 17:00 to 19:00. Automated check-in kiosks, an amenity bar, coin laundry, luggage delivery to the airports and a smoking booth round out the services. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00.
The Isawa View Hotel is one of three View Group properties in Isawa Onsen, a hot-spring town in the Kofu basin of Yamanashi that serves as a base for Mount Fuji, the Fuji Five Lakes and the local wineries; the hotel is about 5 minutes by car from JR Isawa-Onsen Station (free pick-up between 15:00 and 18:00, and drop-offs after check-out) and around 10 minutes from the Ichinomiya-Misaka exit of the Chuo Expressway. Its 57 rooms are mainly tatami rooms with sunken kotatsu tables, plus Japanese-Western rooms with beds and three pet-friendly rooms; each has a TV, fridge, tea set, safe and free Wi-Fi.
The men's and women's baths each have an indoor pool and an open-air bath looking onto the Japanese garden, and a free shuttle lets guests try the different spring sources at the sister Hotel Hana-Isawa and Kasugai View Hotel. Dinner is a seasonal kaiseki course (Koshu beef upgrades available) served from 18:00 in the dining hall or private rooms, and breakfast is a Japanese set meal from 07:00 to 09:00. There are banquet halls, a souvenir shop, paid karaoke, massage chairs, a see-through lift and free parking for 100 cars, 4 coaches and 5 minibuses. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 10:00.
The Ariston Hotel Kyoto Jujo is a reinforced-concrete six-storey hotel on Jujo-dori in Minami-ku, south of central Kyoto: Jujo subway station is a 3-minute walk and two stops from Kyoto Station, or about 7 minutes by taxi from the station's Hachijo exit, with the Kamogawa-nishi exit of the Hanshin Expressway close by for coaches. Opened on 10 May 2018, it has 109 rooms, 100 of them twins plus 8 singles and 1 universal-design room, each with Ariston's own mattress and pillows, a refrigerator, kettle, free Wi-Fi and a bathroom with tub and shower.
Breakfast is a buffet of Kyoto dishes such as saba sushi and rolled omelette, with rice from the Hachidaime Gihei shop, served 06:30 to 09:30 in the Restaurant Lounge Hanakaze; there is no other restaurant on site. A lobby amenity bar offers slippers, toothbrushes and gowns, and the 4th floor has a coin laundry and ice machine; check-out is at 10:00. Note that the itinerary lists this hotel or the Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo (the former New Miyako Hotel, 988 rooms, 2 minutes' walk from Kyoto Station's Hachijo exit) as alternatives.
Welina Hotel Premier Nakanoshima West is on Edobori 1-chome in Nishi-ku, on the south bank of the Tosabori river opposite Nakanoshima island, a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Higobashi station on the Yotsubashi subway line; Umeda/Osaka Station is about 7 minutes by car or one subway stop, Dotonbori and Kyocera Dome about 5 minutes by car. The 297 compact double and twin rooms include wheelchair-friendly universal rooms and all have free Wi-Fi, a safe and quality bedding.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning (about 7:00 to 9:30 am, fee). The top floor has a large public bath and sauna, unusual for a downtown Osaka hotel, and there is a coin laundry, automatic check-out machines, indoor parking and a 24-hour convenience store reached directly from the lobby. Welina Hotel Premier Nakanoshima East at 1-15-24 Edobori (335 rooms, opened 2020, Seattle's Best Coffee breakfast venue) is across the street and is used interchangeably by tour operators.
The Royal Park Canvas - Kobe Sannomiya sits on Shimoyamate-dori in Chuo-ku, steps from the West Exit 1 of Sannomiya subway station and 5–9 minutes on foot from the Hankyu, JR, Hanshin and Port Liner stations of the same name; Ikuta Shrine is a 4-minute walk and Meriken Park and Kobe Harborland about 12–15 minutes. Opened on 21 January 2021, the 12-storey building has 170 compact rooms (comfort doubles to deluxe twins, a suite and an accessible room) with free Wi-Fi, refrigerator and flat-screen TV.
The ground-floor Canvas Lounge doubles as living room and breakfast venue: free coffee and tea, an evening dessert for guests, and a buffet breakfast (6:30 to 10:00 am, about 2,300 yen) featuring Kobe specialities such as bokkake beef stew and Comme Chinois bread. A gym and coin laundry are on the 2nd floor, ironing rooms on every floor, and the front desk is staffed 24 hours. Check-in 3:00 pm, check-out 11:00 am; parking is limited, so ask the hotel in advance.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Hiroshima stands on tree-lined Peace Boulevard in Naka-ku, the heart of the city: Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome are about a 10-minute walk away, the Hondori shopping arcade and Fukuromachi tram stop about 5 minutes, and JR Hiroshima Station is roughly 10 minutes by the Ekimachi Loop bus. The 281 rooms were redesigned in 2016 with oyster and Seto Inland Sea motifs; standard twins are 20 m², deluxe kings 34 m², all with free Wi-Fi, private bathrooms and building-wide climate control.
Breakfast (Japanese, Western and vegetarian, more than 50 dishes) is served at Confrere on the 25th floor, 80 m above the street, and the same top-floor guest lounge offers free coffee, soft drinks and snacks through the day. A coin laundry is on the 2nd floor and there is a café and hair salon on the ground floor. Check-in is 3:00 pm, check-out 11:00 am; the tower car park takes small cars only (1,500 yen a night), so coaches drop off at the entrance.
