Pearl Harbor overlooks the USS Arizona Memorial, which was sunk by the Japanese army, as well as USS Missouri. Afterwards, we will pass by the Hawaii State Capitol and the Pacific National Cemetery for Soldiers and Martyrs, which was closed to sightseeing vehicles after the 9/11 incident. We will pass through Chinatown and overlook the bronze statue of Mr. Sun Yat-sen. We will visit the bronze statue of the first king of Hawaii, Kamehameha, the King's Palace, and the city government building. Finally, we will visit the unique emeralds, black pearls, and red coral shops in Hawaii and return to the hotel around 12:00.

Pearl Harbor, nestled at the lowest point of the plains between the Kolau and Waianae Mountains on Oahu's south coast, is a US Navy base and shipbuilding facility, and one of the largest and best safe harbors in the North Pacific. The Pearl Harbor attack occurred on the early morning of December 7, 1941, when Japanese Combined Fleet aircraft and midget submarines launched a surprise attack on the US Naval Base at Pearl Harbor and US Army and Navy airfields on Oahu, Hawaii. We can see the Arizona Memorial, erected by the US government in 1980 on the wreck of the USS Arizona, to commemorate the painful lesson of that attack.
The Hawaii State Capitol, built in 1969, is a postmodernist architectural masterpiece by I.M. Pei, known for its unique style. The two conical legislative chambers represent Hawaii's volcanic roots, while the numerous supporting columns symbolize palm trees. The vast pool surrounding the open-air rotunda represents the Pacific Ocean surrounding the Hawaiian Islands.
The King Kamehameha statue is located in downtown Honolulu. The statue depicts King Kamehameha, draped in a feathered cape symbolizing royal authority, holding a spear in his left hand and extending his right hand in a gesture of welcome. King Kamehameha was the first king in Hawaiian history to unify the Hawaiian Islands. Of the fifty states in the United States, only Hawaii has ever been ruled by a king. It's no surprise, then, that the King Kamehameha statue has become a must-see attraction for visitors to Hawaii.
The ʻIolani Palace is located in the capitol district of downtown Honolulu. It is now a National Historic Landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. After the monarchy was overthrown in 1893, the building was used as the capitol building for the Provisional Government, Republic, Territory, and State of Hawaii until 1969. The palace was then restored and opened to the public as a museum in 1978. An interesting fact to note is that the ʻIolani Palace is the only royal palace on US soil.

Waikiki is a neighborhood of Honolulu on the south shore of the island of Oʻahu. Waikiki is most famous for Waikiki Beach, which is one of six beaches in the district, along with Queen's Beach, Kuhio Beach, Gray's Beach, Fort DeRussy Beach, and Kahanamoku Beach.
On windy days when the tide is high, the ocean breeze sends the waves rolling onto the shore where the rock formation then shoots sea spray high into the air through the cave acting like a geyser. Today you will look at the Hālona blowhole. This blowhole is most active when the tide is high, and the winds are strong. It can even shoot sea sprays up to thirty feet high in the air.
Just a five-mile drive northeast of Downtown Honolulu is the Nuuanu Pali Lookout. It offers panoramic views of the sheer Koolau cliffs and lush Windward Coast. The Pali Lookout is also known for its strong and howling winds. You’ll understand why the Nuuanu Pali Lookout is one of Oahu’s best scenic points when you feel the wind pushing up against you. You can even hear the winds whistle through the mountains and see the breathtaking views of Oahu’s lush Windward Coast.

The hotel stands on Lewers Street in the middle of Waikiki, about 500 m (a 5-minute walk) from Waikiki Beach and steps from the Royal Hawaiian Center, Luxury Row and the International Market Place; Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is around 14 km or 20 minutes by car. Renovated in 2013, it is a low-key boutique property of 96 individually decorated rooms and suites, each with a private lanai balcony, deep soaking tub and free Wi-Fi; junior and one-bedroom suites add a full kitchenette.
A complimentary continental breakfast with locally roasted Kona coffee, fruit and pastries is served daily from 7 to 9 am. The garden courtyard has a small dipping pool with sundeck and a koi pond, and there is a sauna. Valet parking costs about USD 45 per day and a daily amenity fee applies; a hospitality suite is available for early arrivals and late departures, and check-out is at noon.
The Ramada Plaza sits on Ala Moana Boulevard at the western edge of Waikiki, directly opposite Hilton Hawaiian Village, with the Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Center and the beach all within a 10-minute walk and a city bus stop right outside. The 198 air-conditioned rooms across 16 floors are simply furnished and come with free Wi-Fi, a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, in-room safe and flat-screen TV.
There is an on-site restaurant (room-key discount for guests), a second-floor outdoor pool with sundeck, a 24-hour fitness room, business centre, guest laundry and gift shop, and lobby coffee and tea in the morning; breakfast is not included. The hotel charges no resort fee, self-parking in the outdoor lot is about USD 28 per night and check-in is at 15:00.
The Waikiki Resort Hotel is a tower on Koa Avenue in the heart of Waikiki, one block behind Kuhio Beach, so the sand is about a minute's walk away and the Honolulu Zoo, Kapiolani Park and the Kalakaua Avenue shops are all close by; Honolulu airport is roughly 12 km. All 275 rooms have a furnished private lanai with ocean, mountain or city views, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, coffee maker, work desk and free Wi-Fi.
A complimentary breakfast is served at the Ilima Cafe, and the Surf Bar Waikiki on the lobby level has live music in the evenings. There is an outdoor pool and sun deck with free pool and beach towels, a second-floor fitness centre, a game room with arcade games and billiards, water-refill stations and a free guest microwave; the hotel also runs ukulele, lei-making and hula classes. Parking in the outdoor lot or underground garage carries a daily fee.
